Blueberry Picking

This mixed media set of twinchies (2-inch squares) was such a delight to create. Inspired by blueberry season, I chose a soft summer palette, with each color representing an aspect of blueberry picking (deep blue for health, maize for sweetness, rust for memories, indigo for nourish, dusty rose for childhood,  and light blue for color). Layors of collage, paint, and journaling, topped off with a few cut-out blueberries make for so many surprises in these tiny abstracts.
